Meet the Chief Moving Objects Expert…
As a multi-sport athlete growing up, Michael hardly had any time for other activities. However, the little time he did have, he focused towards digital media. He was always really drawn to digital media and had a real passion for it, but never really knew where, or how, to make a legitimate career out of it. The California-grown athlete played College level football for William Jewell while attaining three Bachelor degrees in Digital Media/Communication, Recreation and Sport, and Critical Thought & Inquiry. Michael was a part of a number of societies including Kappa Alpha Order, Lambda Pi Eta, Alpha Lambda Delta. Off the gridiron, he volunteered time with the WJC Sports Network performing a multitude of different roles, including live interviews, live reporting, streaming and videography, as well as extensive video editing, etc.
After college, Michael picked up an internship with AJGA and did media communication work for them which included sports photography/videography, social media management, interviews, etc. He then moved on to become a radio personality at KVGC1340, as well as a producer for the “Rise Guys” on ESPN 1320AM Radio.
“Around the same time, I met my beautiful wife Erica. I thank God for her, everyday.”
He decided to put a pause on his media career, and pursue a career in the US Navy as an Aviator. A career that would bring stability and an opportunity to travel.
“My wife and I are now in a situation where we feel we can pursue our love for digital media. We’ve been passionate about digital media for a long time, and it’s a dream we both love and share. We finally have someone to share it with, which makes it that much better; McCuaig Media.”
